Agency-Directed vs Consumer-Directed Care
Both are covered by the CCC Plus Waiver. The difference is who chooses and manages the caregiver — the agency, or you.

With agency-directed care, a home care agency assigns and manages the caregiver. With consumer-directed care, you choose the caregiver — including a family member — and direct the schedule and care.
Families who want a loved one to provide care, or who want maximum control and consistency, usually choose consumer-directed. Those who prefer the agency to handle staffing choose agency-directed.
